Yes. Our Nd:YAG laser is specifically designed to be safe and effective on all skin types and tones, including darker skin. The Nd:YAG wavelength bypasses the melanin in the skin to target the hair follicle directly, reducing the risk of burns or hyperpigmentation that older lasers posed for darker complexions.
We treat virtually every area of the body including the face (upper lip, chin, sideburns), underarms, bikini and Brazilian, full legs, full arms, back, chest, stomach, and full body. During your consultation we will create a personalized treatment plan for your specific areas of concern.
Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your session. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least two weeks prior. Do not wax or pluck for four weeks before treatment, as the laser needs the hair root intact to be effective.
There is minimal to no downtime. You may experience slight redness or mild swelling in the treated area for a few hours after the session, similar to a mild sunburn. Most clients return to their normal activities immediately. We recommend avoiding hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
